Job Summary

Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks an Agile Developer Team Member V to be responsible for designing and building solutions at multiple levels of the technology stack. Specific duties include: work with modern JavaScript SPA frameworks; build web pages using MVC framework and building components using Ajax, JQuery, Object Oriented (OO) JavaScript, JSON, and XML; build web applications using JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS3, JQuery; work with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, and NPM; handle extracting and manipulating complex data relationships utilizing document-oriented data structures and configuring these data sets for optimal processing; work with AWS serverless architectures utilizing Amazon’s AWS stack: Cloudfront, Lambda, S3, Route 53, Cognito, Elastic Search, Aurora, Athena; and work within interfacing with SOAP / REST APIs / Web services. May work remotely 40% of the time.

 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Manager - Projects, Senior Software Engineer, or similar position designing and building technology solutions. Must have 3 years of experience working with each of the following: UI technologies including HTML, CSS, jQuery, JSON, Ajax, Angular, ReactJS, NodeJS, Bootstrap, Flexbox and JavaScript; IDEs including Eclipse, Spring Tool Suite, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, and Unit testing with Jasmine, Karma; JAVA (Servlets and JSP) and REST Web services; web application design and development with Spring framework modules including Spring MVC and Spring Boot; general relational database concepts; databases MySql, DB2, and PostgreSQL; cloud technologies including Heroku (PaaS); Application Servers including Apache Tomcat; Build Tools including Webpack, Gulp, and Grant; unit testing with JUnit and Mockito; source code repository tools GIT and Tortoise SVN; build tools Maven and Ant; tool-based code quality analysis with SonarQube and Veracode; waterfall, iterative, Agile methodologies, and onshore-offshore delivery; Rational Application Development (RAD), Eclipse, and IntelliJ; and GIT and GitHub version control and source code repository tools. Must also have 2 years of experience working with and writing System Requirement specification documents from BRD (Business Requirement Documents). May work remotely 40% of the time.
