Workplace: Hybrid/Remote Depending on location

Our hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Job Summary

Manages the security of data and networks to comply with all legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements for AI. Provides significant impact for the organization by placing greater emphasis on innovation, relationship management, and technical expertise. Inferfaces regularly with IT peers and business unit leaders to share the corporate AI, privacy, and security vision and to solicit involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise AI, privacy, and security by design.

Essential Job Functions

  • Drives AI priorities by overseeing the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of new security solutions and enhancements to existing security solutions.
  • Demonstrates technical or subject matter expertise in AI, information security, IT, and information privacy.
  • Develops expertise in insurance business operations in order to drive security innovations for a financial services organization.
  • Improves the organization’s pace, quality, and efficiency by pivoting accumulated AI privacy and security knowledge and critical thinking skills to act as a visionary for innovation.
  • Identifies opportunities to innovate or introduce emerging AI privacy and security technology/practices based on business needs and customer experience.
  • Develops new AI privacy and security programs and MVPs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Collaborates with program sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, governance, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new AI privacy and security initiatives.
  • Manages multiple projects with broad scope, ambiguity, and high degree of difficulty.
  • Coordinates and organizes activities between multiple projects to ensure project goals align with the organization’s objectives.
  • Resolves projects’ higher scope issues and coordinate the management of complex issues that may arise as programs seek to deliver benefits.
  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares reports required for program directors, senior leadership, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Builds and owns relationships that positively influence business outcomes.
  • Engages in ongoing communications with peers and leaders across the various business groups to ensure enterprise wide understanding of AI privacy and security goals, to solicit feedback and to foster cooperation.
  • Implements creative approaches to address gaps in the security team’s connection with and influence over the organization.
  • Partners with business leaders to ensure information security risk findings are reviewed and solutions are implemented.
  • Effectively mentors, coaches and influences peers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Actions

Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (e.g. others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.

Physical Environment

This position operates in an open office working environment which will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required. Relevant Information Security certification (CISSP, SCC, ISSAP and/or ISACA, etc.) required.
 
CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, AIGP, or similar certification is preferred.

Experience Requirements

7-10 years related experience in IT Security or Information Security Risk consulting, People Management, and Project Management, or comparable base of knowledge/expertise in the field. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of risk management processes including methods for assessing and mitigating risk. At least three years of experience with AI and machine learning governance, preferably involving technology.
