Job Summary

The BI (Business Insurance) Product Analyst supports the State Product Director in managing the growth, profitability, and operational execution across a four-state region.

The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, curious and analytical thinker. The role will support detailed regional and state-level product analysis. They will monitor marketplace dynamics, analyze competitor public filings, track regulatory shifts, and manage the hands-on maintenance and rating updates required to keep our products compliant and competitive.

Essential Job Functions

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including ability to manipulate and organize data in excel, ability to complete lookups and build pivot tables.
  • Very comfortable with Microsoft PowerPoint – building slide decs around a core narrative and presenting information to achieve an outcome
  • Experience utilizing data analytics tools (such as SQL, Snowflake, or equivalent SaaS platforms) to query, extract and analyze data
  • Collaborates with business partners to understand desired business outcomes and offers product perspective and expertise.
  • Completes and maintains competitive market analysis within limited region or part of a region and support from leader.
  • Provides recommendations using analysis and interpretation of rates, data, and trends to assigned projects.
  • Creates and maintains a collaborative relationship with field partners who support local strategies.
  • Support growth and profitability initiatives through product enhancements and refinements, tracking and monitoring progress, and structuring communication with affected stakeholders.
  • Regular maintenance of product includes updating and maintaining table changes, rating systems, manuals, forms, and review of new laws and regulations, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred in the area of business management, mathematics, management information, finance, actuarial science, economics or other analytics related field.

Experience Requirements

  • 1-3 years professional experience.
  • Experience with Commercial Lines Property & Casualty a plus, not required.
  • Experience in the insurance industry a plus, not required.
