Job Summary
- This position is responsible for planning and leading internal audits of the Credit Union including IT, operational and branch audits.
- Provides input for audit planning and scheduling, and assists with fulfilling the annual audit schedule.
- Serves as a mentor to Credit Union audit staff.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for IT audits.

Essential Job Functions
- Performs audit work for the Credit Union including IT, operational and branch audits.
- Performs highly complex and technical audits with manager oversight as needed.
- Performs less complex audits with minimal supervision and guidance.
- Communicates with auditees and others incident to the audit.
- Researches, tests, maintains work papers, issues summaries and writes correspondence, generates reports. Identifies IT risks and exposures and works with Credit Union IT and IS teams to mitigate and resolve them.
- May participate in performing risk assessments.
- Interacts with various contacts and resources to maintain and develop technical knowledge and expertise, notably in the area of IT.
- Learns and understands the risks facing the Credit Union by analyzing controls and other information gathered through audits.
- Contributes to the development of internal audit strategy by communicating findings to management and making appropriate recommendations.
- Works on investigations and special projects including but not limited to following-up on findings notated by NCUA and CPA examiners/auditors.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree required in business administration or a related field.
- Other: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience in auditing or accounting role within a credit union or other financial institution required.
- Experience with IT audit and methodology preferred.
Physical Actions
- This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.
- Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
- Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance.
- Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Visually verifies and reads information.
- Visually locates material, resources and other objects.
- Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
- Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.

o Albany County: $71,520 - $89,400
