Job Summary

Maintains assigned department procedures and/or training materials; delivers assigned training. Audits and coaches department personnel to ensure proficiency in assigned procedures and training.

Essential Job Functions

  • Reviews existing procedures, correspondence templates, reference tools and training materials.
  • Identifies, makes and gets approval for required content updates and delivery methodology.
  • Maintains history of materials.
  • Communicates updates to department staff and internal customers.
  • Manages logistics (e.g., methodology, facilities, trainers, materials, participants) for assigned training.
  • Delivers assigned training.
  • Provides on the floor spot training as needed.
  • Conducts training evaluations.
  • Supports audits of trainee-produced transactions to verify learner proficiency; reviews audit results with learners and their supervisors.
  • Makes necessary adjustments to improve training and/or provides additional training to individuals as needed to reach proficiency.
  • Responds to inquiries and suggestions about procedures, correspondence templates and reference tools.
  • Tests procedure updates within department web site; assists with project testing.
  • Maintains processing knowledge and efficiency by processing transactions related to agent contracts, commission schedules, licenses, appointments, product authority and system access.
  • Ensures compliance with department and company procedures, standards and applicable regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience indirectly or directly in a customer service/support function.
  • Proven competency performing in a coaching, guiding, or instructing role required.
  • Experience with agency licensing and contracting and Farmers systems and processes preferred.

Special Skill Requirement

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Keyboard usage and navigating web-based programs.
  • Basic AV equipment skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of adult learning theory and practices required.
