Job Summary
The position provides leadership across complex, multi‑team initiatives, influencing solution strategy through deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and systems‑level thinking. The role partners closely with business, technology, data, and governance leaders to translate strategic objectives into AI‑enabled, scalable solutions that deliver measurable value while maintaining trust, security, and compliance. They serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in AI‑driven solution engineering, guiding decisions across multiple business units and technology domains. It performs work independently while receiving guidance or direction for only the most complex scenarios. Mentors, trains, or coaches less experienced team members at all levels and supervises direct reports who are individual contributors or people leaders.
What You'll Do
- Partners with cross-functional business stakeholders and technical teams to understand and address complex to highly complex initiatives within a business unit or at the enterprise level. Leads discussions to gather requirements, develop solutions, validate technology assumptions, and evaluate implementation alternatives. Influences solution strategies by leveraging deep business knowledge and depth of expertise in solution engineering.
- Leads multiple technical projects simultaneously by prioritizing and coordinating solution engineering efforts across teams and initiatives. Establishes performance metrics to measure effectiveness and continuously optimize performance. Manages non-functional requirements and ensures compliance with industry standards throughout the solution development and delivery process.
- Supervises, guides, coaches, and manages the performance of direct reports who are people leaders or individual contributors. Delivers regular feedback and supports professional development. Fosters a high-performance culture where excellence is standard and innovation is actively encouraged.
- Partner closely with technology, data, business, and governance leaders to ensure AI solutions are architected, delivered, and adopted with rigor, speed, trust, and align with product roadmaps and overarching business strategies. Monitors progress, resolves issues affecting delivery timelines, and leads technical problem-solving efforts during development and deployment phases. Partners with business stakeholders and technical teams to address challenges and optimize solutions
- Demonstrated learning agility with a disciplined approach to staying current on emerging AI technologies and approaches, rapidly synthesizing new insights, and translating continuous learning into practical guidance, decisions, and organizational capability.
- Drive innovation by identifying emerging AI capabilities, external trends, and new operating approaches, and translating them into actionable pilots and scalable programs.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 10 years of experience required in solution engineering, software development, systems architecture, or related.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams required.
- Experience in the insurance industry preferred.
- Experience in a people leader or management role required.
- Experience with artificial intelligence technologies, including applied machine learning, generative AI, intelligent automation, and modern data and AI platforms, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into enterprise business strategy.
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree required in computer science, engineering, or similar field.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience leading or standing up enterprise AI, data, or automation programs within regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, or healthcare.
- Background in consulting, product leadership, platform engineering, or enterprise architecture, with a track record of driving transformation at scale.
- Familiarity with responsible AI, security, privacy, and compliance considerations, and experience partnering with risk, legal, and governance teams.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills. Able to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

- Demonstrated problem solving skills. Able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues of varying complexity.

- Possesses strong technical aptitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Deep knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns. Strong proficiency in one or more phases of the software development lifecycle. In-depth knowledge of multiple systems and their key components. Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.
- Effectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback.
- Effective leadership skills. Able to supervise and mentor direct reports to enhance performance and achieve objectives.
