Job Summary

We’re looking for a strategic, hands‑on analytics professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges with innovative, data‑driven solutions. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Product Management and business leaders to design, build, and enhance data products, analytics solutions, reporting, and decision‑support tools that shape our product strategy and drive meaningful business outcomes.

 

You’ll lead high‑complexity projects, operate independently, and provide guidance or coaching to less‑experienced team members. You’ll also play a key role in influencing our broader analytics strategy by bringing forward new ideas, shaping our strategic approach, and ensuring our solutions deliver measurable value.

 

This role oversees the full lifecycle of analytics products and solutions, including design, development, implementation, and ongoing support and enhancement. We’re seeking someone with strong technical expertise and a proven track record of delivering impactful analytics initiatives.

 

 

What You'll Do

  • Develops highly complex value-based analytics solutions for quality, business process functionality, or other strategic/data/analytic initiatives of advanced complexity. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and establish analytics requirements. Creates detailed documentation and business plans that address stakeholder needs. Liaises between IT, data science/R&D teams and Product Management for analytics models and data solutions. Is considered a subject matter expert. Trusted business partner working with business leaders and cross- functional teams to identify key challenges and work on resolutions with the goal of improving organizational performance.
  • Develops and implements expert level enterprise-wide data integration strategies that utilize various data-marts and data warehouse applications to enhance reporting. Continuously works to improve data platforms, dashboards, and reports to meet emerging and changing business demands and guidelines. Consults as a subject matter expert on UAT, technical specifications, strategic planning, contract design, technical support, testing updates, and trainings. Mentors, advises, coaches, and provides leadership to ensure solutions are properly implemented.
  • Manages data from multiple sources and uses project management skills to complete highly complex projects with little to no oversight by leadership. Transmits data and proactively works to ensure data quality. Troubleshoots data issues and devises creative and effective ways to avoid or mitigate issues.
  • Uses expert understanding of data elements, structures, standards typically involved in financial services transactions, reporting, and cloud-based data storage/sharing to adopt and apply standards in a way that satisfies and balances regulatory and compliance requirements with business needs. Regularly coaches or develops team members in these skills.
  • May manage a team of up to 2 individual contributors effectively. Emerging skills in maintaining higher level employee engagement. Supervises, guides, coaches, and manages the performance of direct reports. Delivers regular feedback and supports professional development. Relies on advanced skill in employee engagement to cultivate a high-performance culture where excellence is standard and innovation is actively encouraged.
  • Ability to craft strategic plans and translate those plans to action for individuals or teams within span of control or indirect individuals or teams across three or more business domains. Proven track record of strategic enablement. Demonstrates ability to communicate strategy concepts to individuals unfamiliar and has begun to enable Enterprise plans.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of related work experience required.
  • Experience in insurance industry preferred.
  • Experience in people leader or management role preferred.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.

Physical Actions

Job is performed in-person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location. The physical work environment is indoors and climate-controlled with adequate lighting and ventilation. Normal and customary distractions include background noise produced by office equipment and chatter among people, as well as interruptions. Frequently sits for prolonged periods of time, up to a full shift. Occasionally moves about the workplace including, navigating stairs, ramps, and level or uneven surfaces. Occasionally moves, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and/or places objects or materials weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Frequently uses shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate equipment, tools, and objects necessary to perform job duties. Frequently performs fine motor tasks such as typing, mousing, or writing, up to a full shift. Rarely performs movements such as bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees. Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information. Relies on depth perception and peripheral vision to navigate the work environment visually by identifying barriers, changes in terrain and locating objects. Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace. Jobs in this category require rare, if any, travel.
