Our hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Job Summary

  • This position consults with members of the Executive Committee leadership team, senior leaders, and business unit partners to formulate, evolve, and translate enterprise strategic priorities into measurable business performance results.
  • The role employs a systematic approach to strategic planning that connects and aligns business unit priorities across all business functions with the enterprise strategy.
  • The position is responsible for ensuring Enterprise Strategic Priorities and Roadmaps to ultimately deliver the enterprise strategy and drive business performance

Essential Job Functions

  • Consults with members of the Executive Committee, senior leaders and other key stakeholders to define and refine strategic business unit priorities to create and connect to action plans that deliver the overall enterprise strategy.
  • Uses strong strategy, business, and financial acumen to facilitate strategy discussions, reviews, workshops, and promote cross-functional collaboration across all Farmers business units.
  • Identifies misalignments, inefficiencies, and obstacles hindering achievement of business unit or enterprise strategic objectives.
  • Establishes, leads, and executes a comprehensive strategic planning process that provides a structured framework for determining strategic direction, allocating resources, and setting clear business unit priorities that link to enterprise strategic priorities.
  • Creates action plans, strategy roadmaps, and implementation tactics using a data-driven approach to support strategic recommendations.
  • Identifies and tracks business performance metrics to measure the impact of action plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Assesses progress toward delivery of strategic intent and recommends necessary adjustments.
  • Prepares and presents reports or briefings to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Conducts in-depth research and analysis of industry trends and best practices, competitive landscape and market dynamics to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert to provide actionable insights, challenge thinking, or inform perspectives about enterprise strategy to ensure it remains agile and competitive.
  • Continually seeks opportunities to expand current knowledge through a mix of internal and external educational resources.

Experience Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience required in internal consulting and strategy development.
  • Insurance industry experience preferred.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree required in strategy, business or related field.

Physical Actions

  • This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.
  • Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
  • Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance.
  • Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Visually verifies and reads information.
  • Visually locates material, resources and other objects.
  • Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.

    o CO Only: $123,120 - $163,800 
    o HI Only: $123,120 - $175,400
    o IL Only: $123,120 - $175,400
    o NY Only: $120,080 - $185,400 
             o Albany County: $131,040 - $163,800 
    o WA Only:  $123,120 - $219,250
