Job Summary
The core function of the Farmers Financial Services (FFS) Senior Supervisory Principal is conducting pre-sale suitability and best interest review of securities business. The Senior Supervisory Principal is responsible for the day-to-day review of business submitted by registered representatives - which includes account recommendations, insurance and annuity recommendations, investment switches, and subsequent transactions - while maintaining current service level agreements. The Senior Supervisory Principal has full autonomy to approve and accept business on behalf of FFS within the firms guidelines mandated by FFS, FINRA, and various state and federal agencies.
What You'll Do
- Provide Principal review and approval on variety of business types, including mutual funds, annuities, variable life insurance, 529 plans, and brokerage transactions.
- Review and accept new accounts using a complete, prompt, and accurate review of a customers profile to include their risk tolerance, investment objectives, tax status and other facts and circumstances to determine best interest and suitability of recommendations that could include insurance, annuities, mutual funds, and other
securities products. - Enter the transaction into the FFS books and records system to facilitate commission payments and reporting. Ensure data quality for transactions in the firms books and records system.
- Daily review of annuity applications, which may include replacements and 1035 exchanges.
- Act as a backup and proxy for the Supervisory Principal Manager by providing an escalation point for agents and resolve the matters requiring supervisory review.
- Identify and recommend ideas for process and procedure improvements.
- Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends, and recommending system improvements.
- Work with the compliance department to address regulatory concerns. Escalate items to the leadership as needed.
- Other duties as assigned, including other supervisory and operations functions.
Education You'll Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Other: FINRA Series 6 or 7 or 63 or 66.
- Upon Hire: FINRA Series 24 or 26.
- Upon Hire: FINRA Series 51 or 53.
- Upon Hire: State insurance license.
- Upon Hire Additional FINRA licenses may be required in the future depending on business need.
What You'll Bring
- Three years as a FFS Supervisory Principal or minimum four years experience within the insurance, financial, or banking industry.
