About the role...

  • This role will monitor sales metrics and manage the entire sales administration process.
  • Is accountable for continuous process improvement, maintaining operational excellence to improve and enhance customer service to territory employees, district managers, agents, customers and related business units.
  • Leads, motivates and contributes for the internal sales team to achieve strategic goals.

What you'll accomplish...

  • Leads and supports staff with the application of technical information about the FFS (Farmers Financial Services) process, products, and related procedures to answer questions and resolve problems.
  • Ensures delivery of the required number of outbound calls and virtual sales meetings.
  • Ensures inbound call handling hold times are in standard and is willing and able to jump in as an individual contributor to cover lunch breaks, vacation times, and general high volume.
  • Manages the development of financial services, investment, and compliance knowledge of the team to assist agent understanding of securities products including mutual funds, annuities and variable life insurance products as well as fixed insurance and investment products such as fixed annuities, fixed indexed annuities, single premium whole life and traditional life products.
  • Coordinates territory coverage with FSDs and field sales management personnel.
  • Regularly communicates with FSDs and field management personnel to discuss territory related matters, involving product emphasis and positioning, special marketing efforts, industry news and special issues that affect products.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of FFS products and marketing/sales strategies.
  • Attends seminars and other approved training opportunities to develop necessary technical knowledge of products and services offered.
  • Coordinates contact of non-registered Farmers agents to discuss the benefits of becoming FFS registered and direct interested parties to next steps.
  • Monitors activities with field leadership and District Manager’s to identify high potential registered and non-registered agents.
  • Develops plans for outbound call support of other FFS Department initiatives.
  • Directs internal wholesalers and also personally tracks telephone contacts and sales progress through the use of internal company systems and software; observes that appropriate follow up contacts are made as required.
  • Understands and interfaces with various computer systems that provide detailed information for and about the FFS registered rep to provide aid in account lookup, problem resolution and data record keeping.
  • Reviews and critiques the team's delivery of sales ideas shared with agents in the field on a weekly basis.
  • Assists with the development of coordinated marketing plans in concert with FFS Financial Services Directors and Field Leaders leading to complete coverage of assigned territories.
  • Maintains proficiency to support analytics, project leadership, compliance, and companywide initiatives.
  • Oversees audits of calls for compliance with internal and external controls.
  • Responsible for ensuring the licensing, appointments and continuing education as required by state and federal statutes and regulations are adhered to and maintained for all team members.
  • Ensures external and Internal Control Framework are adhered to and makes recommendations to for changes and improvements as needed.
  • Provides training and orientation of new hires.
  • Identifies educational opportunities to advance the development of team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical actions...

Required job duties are essentially sedentary in nature, consisting of occasion walking, standing, lifting and/or carrying ten pounds maximum, seeing, speaking, and hearing.

Education needed...

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • FINRA Series 6, 63 and 26 licenses required upon hire.

Experience needed...

  • Five years experience in the financial services industry required.
  • Leadership experience preferred.

Special skills needed...

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure 'buy-in' and convince others regarding best approach.
  • Goal oriented team player with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong relationship building.
