Job Summary

Responsible for driving the analytics strategy and execution across Personal Lines. This role will unify and elevate Personal Line’s analytics capabilities to deliver actionable insights, scalable reporting, and advanced modeling that support data-driven growth and performance optimization. This position plays a critical role in aligning analytics with strategic business goals, enabling holistic visibility across channels, and fostering a culture of insight-led decision-making.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead the development and execution of a cohesive analytics strategy for Personal Lines, integrating performance measurement, agent engagement, and growth initiatives.
  • Oversee the delivery of advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and scalable reporting frameworks that inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise data strategies, tools, and analytic innovation through collaboration with the Chief Analytics Office.
  • Champion the evolution from siloed, function-specific analytic capabilities to enterprise-grade analytics frameworks that connect performance outcomes across the Personal Lines ecosystem.
  • Responsible for communicating results and insights to business partners and stakeholders and influencing business decisions and strategies.
  • Accountable for routine and ad-hoc analytical and reporting needs to explain both what happened and why it happened for Personal Lines.
  • Define and continuously refine the analytics vision and roadmap for Personal Lines, ensuring alignment with broader business and data strategies.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Personal Lines leaders, function heads, and enterprise analytics teams to ensure analytics initiatives are aligned, prioritized, and impactful.
  • Build organizational partnerships across functional teams and stakeholders to understand business needs, define and inform key strategic decisions, and drive the creation of data, analytic, and/or modeling capabilities.
  • Lead the development of advanced analytical models and dashboards that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for Personal Lines leadership.
  • Drive the adoption of predictive and prescriptive analytics, championing new methodologies and tools that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across all Personal Lines analytics outputs by implementing robust governance practices.
  • Promote a data-driven culture by influencing behaviors, building trust in analytics, and enabling Personal Lines teams to self-serve insights where appropriate.
  • Directs team in determining and using appropriate techniques that may include diagnostic analysis, active monitoring and/or multivariate modeling methods that can be used to influence strategic business decisions. 
  • Surfaces actionable insights that influence business decisions and strategies through explanatory modeling and analytics as well as experimental design and related inferential techniques.
  • Promote the exploration and implementation of new data and analytic tools, techniques, and industry best practices to apply to business problems.
  • Interpret and synthesize findings across multiple analyses and influence optimal business action by balancing business constraints, analytical findings, and business impact.
  • Contribute to wider data strategy, adapt and implement this strategy in own function, develop processes and review policies relevant to functional/business discipline to ensure they are in line with strategic business objectives.
  • Recruits, trains, and develops staff to support evolving business needs.
  • Assess profitability, growth, competitor strategies, underwriting decisions, and post monitor strategic initiatives for Personal Lines.
  • Lead the Competitive Intelligence team to deliver actionable insights on market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in mathematical, statistical, or business/financial field.
  • Master's degree preferred. Advanced Industry Designation preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 8-10 years of related data and analytic experience
  • Experience using explanatory, diagnostic, and inferential techniques such as experimental design, hypothesis testing, clustering analysis, time series, and other statistical modelling algorithms with the ability to decide the appropriate methodology for the purpose.
  • Experience working on large-scale multidimensional data using advanced knowledge of open-source cloud-enabled analytical programming languages.
  • Strong ability to translate business objectives to analytics team.Strong project management skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Proven track record of working with and influencing cross-functional senior executives.

Additional Qualification

  • History of developing and executing analytics strategies that drive business results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced analytics platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and influence senior stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Farmers offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications and location. Anticipated salary range of $205,000-$265,000.
