Job Summary

  • This position leads the Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) IT Operations team responsible for supporting IT leadership in assessing, creating, monitoring, and managing all aspects of ICFR in the IT space, including internal controls training to stakeholders, annual planning, quarterly certifications, maintenance of internal control documentation, coordination between stakeholders, and evaluating deficiencies and remediation activities.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partners with process and control owners to maintain and update ICFR documentation, including process narratives, flowcharts, risk and control matrices, IT application lists, and IT control design and implementation documentation.
  • Partners closely with leadership in a consultative manner to ensure the adequacy of the design and effectiveness of controls related to new IT applications.
  • Oversees the evaluation of control deficiencies, remediation plans, and tracks and monitors the adequacy of remediation activities.
  • Accountable for the ongoing completeness and accuracy of IT controls within the internal control databases.
  • Participates in the annual planning process, which includes ensuring the completeness and accuracy of IT applications in scope for the ICFR program.
  • Oversees the quarterly control certification process for IT controls.
  • Oversees a team of IT ICFR operations professionals.
  • Sets clear goals and priorities for the team.
  • Provides coaching, oversight, and manage performance in accordance with company’s vision and purpose.
  • Manages the design and facilitation of annual ICFR controls training at the direction of the ICFR operations leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the ICFR operations leadership, cross-functional ICFR assistance, and special projects efforts.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or related business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) required.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 7-10 years experience required in Accounting, Finance or Auditing (IT Auditing preferred) and at least two years managerial or leadership experience.
  • Experience at big four or large national CPA firm preferred.

Physical Actions

  • This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.
  • Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
  • Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance.
  • Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Visually verifies and reads information.
  • Visually locates material, resources and other objects.
  • Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
