Job Summary
Join Our Team as an Internal IT Audit Specialist! Are you an inquisitive individual with a passion for uncovering insights and driving improvements to positively impact an organization? Farmers Insurance is looking for an Internal IT Audit Specialist to strengthen our assurance practices through the performance of quality audit work as part of our transformation to become a leading practice audit function. What You'll Do:
- Lead: Lead audit engagements in accordance to Farmers Internal Audit Standards with minimal oversight.
- Deliver: High quality audits that help Farmers deliver on its value proposition to its customers.
- Contribute: Participate in the development of the Internal Audit Strategy and Plan, as well as the Audit Universe, by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the risks facing the company or business unit. Analyze controls and information gathered through audits, meetings, and other sources, and escalate relevant findings to Audit Management.
- Collaborate: Establish strong working relationships with, and knowledge of, the business processes and IT systems when performing both IT audits and integrated audits.
- Communicate: Prepare executive ready reports and other written correspondence that effectively and efficiently communicate findings and recommendations.
- Transform: Bring, and drive, transformational ideas that drive the Internal Audit function forward.
- Facilitate Knowledge Sharing: Mentor peers and colleagues to support their professional development and enhance the overall capability of the team.
- Cultivate Professional Development: Grow as a professional through various stretch and growth opportunities that will develop and hone skillsets needed for advancement.

Essential Job Functions
- Leads audit engagements with minimal supervision - on time and in a quality manner.
- Preparation of reports and communication with the business.
- Administrative duties supporting departmental activities, individual development plan, training, performance management, and general administration.
- Participates in departmental special projects.
Physical Actions
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or other comparable designation preferred.
Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) or other comparable designation preferred.
Experience Requirements
Five or more years experience in Auditing at an external firm or financial services firm, or seven years experience with Farmers Insurance and/or one year as a Farmers Insurance Auditor. Detailed subject matter expertise of at least one area of the business or industry.
The preferred candidate will possess:

Subject matter expert within the areas of information technology general and application controls, risks and testing procedures.

Previous experience working in an accounting/auditing firm.
- Demonstrated ability in advanced audit techniques including data analysis, data visualization, data mining, process mining, provide audit insights and critically think through complex problems.
- Experience using artificial intelligence methods within audit testing
- Proficient in data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Access, Excel, and SQL.
- Able to draft process maps and flowcharts Working knowledge of the various IT and data security standards, regulations and frameworks.
- Experience leading complex audit engagements.
- Strong understanding of auditing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
- Proven ability to manage and maintain professional relationships.
