Job Summary

The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for running the tools necessary to go through a rate revision process on personal lines products.  This involves running tools, doing data retrieves, reporting, and synthesizing large sets of data into meaningful information. 

  • Responsible for obtaining, evaluating, and communicating information that supports revenue growth and profitability.
  • Recommends strategies for improving results and market position.

Experience Requirements

  • 3 years experience in similar role or one year in Product Analyst II role.

Special Skill Requirement

  • Proficient PC Skills, including Excel, and basic programming utilizing Python or SQL.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including ability to make effective presentations and write articles publishable in trade magazines.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Essential Job Functions

  • Analyzes information using data correlation, and statistical analysis.
  • Develops data and information structure.
  • Creates and modifies computer programs to extract information from company databases.
  • Prepares analyses of loss experience, retention, and expense data.
  • Suggests enhancements to standard methodologies.
  • Performs primary field research, including customer, distribution, competitor, insurance department, and market surveys.
  • Works with State Offices to support rate proposal and marketing plan development.
  • Identifies market segments and develops specialized pricing approaches.
  • Prepares exhibits for state filings and responds to requests from regulators for additional data.
  • Provides detailed requirements for systems implementation projects.
  • Measures and monitors performance of states, initiatives, and identified segments.
  • Facilitates through other parts of the organization to accomplish results.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Actions

  • Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing, and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs maximum, and seeing.

Physical Environment

  • Required job duties are normally performed in a climate- controlled office environment.

    o CO Only: $77,360 - $113,520 
    o HI Only: $77,360 - $121,220
    o IL Only: $77,360 - $121,220
    o NY/ DC Only: $77,360 - $131,230 
             o Albany County: $82,560 - $113,520 
    o WA Only:  $77,360 - $137,750
