Job Summary

Specializes in building and supporting Agile environments, including development and maintenance of the toolchain supporting the Continuous Delivery Pipeline, integration of assets from Agile teams, end-to-end Solution testing, deployments and Release on Demand. Independently plans and implements more complex technical design, technology and infrastructure. Utilizes specialized understanding of business objectives and products to effectively support goals with underlying technologies. 

What You'll Do

  •  Partners with Agile teams and business owners to resolve feasibility and solution options for DevOps features.
  • Utilizes technical and functional expertise in three or more DevOps domains to
  • design and map solutions.
  • Provides technical feasibility using a range of methods to ensure infrastructure stability and guides other team members within the ART.
  • Plans and designs the DevOps Architectural Runway to support new business features and epics.
  • Ensures solutions are aligned with the enterprise's larger vision regarding tooling and platforms.
  • Plans and designs code deployment pipelines automation following best practices and guidelines.
  • Creates and sets proof of concept to validate solutions and MVPs independently.
  • Participates in code reviews of others' work and leads a DevOps community of practice.
  • Participates in Program Increment (PI) planning, Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System and Solution Demos, and Inspect and Adapt events.

What You'll Do (continued)

  • Leads planning meetings to define the architectural approach, roadmap, and high-level objectives.
  • Summarizes findings and validates alignment of the technical direction.
  • Joins SyncUP sessions with architects and agile teams to ensure consistency in managing emerging DevOps technologies and tradeoffs.
  • Coaches Dev team members to operate and deliver effectively within DevOps.
  • Maintains a focus on innovation and relentless improvement.
  • Creates an environment of collaboration, mutual influence, and accountability.
  • Trains and coaches agile teams, stakeholders, and junior team members.

What You'll Bring

  • 7-10 years of related experience required.

 

Hands on experience, preferred in:

  • Jenkins pipeline scripting (Groovy).
  • Build tools like Gradle, Maven.
  • SQL.
  • Source Control (GitHub).
  • Using Agile Management tools (Rally/JIRA).
  • Experience with coding in Java J2EE or other Object Oriented Language.

Additional Qualification

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal, listening and written communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and team building skills.
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Pega PDM.
  • Knowledge of .NET.
  • Knowledge of tools like Artifactory.
  • Experience using security and Code quality scanning tools like Sonar, Veracode.

Education You'll Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Other: DevOps certification within 180 Days.

Physical Actions

This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions. Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
