Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ICM Data Consultant to own the administration, configuration, and daily operations of our Varicent Incentive Compensation Management platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between sales strategy and technical execution, ensuring that sales commissions, bonuses, and performance metrics are calculated accurately, audit-ready, and delivered on time.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, deep technical knowledge of Varicent logic, and the communication skills necessary to collaborate with Sales Leadership, Finance, and IT.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensures Commission Calculation and Reporting applications are operating efficiently.
  • Plans Production data loads and verifies completion timeliness and accuracy.
  • Handles Production incidents by leading impact and resolution analysis with various teams.
  • Supports root cause documentation and implements lessons learned.
  • Liaises with business stakeholders to understand requirements / pain points and comes up with solution recommendations.
  • Supports application deployment activities and troubleshoots any environmental issues.
  • Recommends enhancements to existing proc esses to increase efficiency.
  • Build, test, and maintain calculation logic, formulas, workflows, and plan components within the Varicent ICM platform.
  • Translate complex, yearly sales incentive compensation plans into functional technical requirements and implement them within the system.
  • Design, develop, and maintain customized dashboards and reports for sales reps, managers, and executive leadership.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity, plan compliance, and alignment with internal financial controls (e.g., SOX compliance).

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. SAFe Practitioner or SAFe Agilist Certification within 180 days of hire required. SAFe DevOps Certification preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT application development, operations support, or a similar role.
  • Experience with Mainframe programs
  • Experience working with any type of ICM (Varicent or SSIS)
  • Experience independently managing multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Detail oriented, quick learner, self-starter.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate technical issues, root cause, and remediation plans in layman’s terms
  • Experience working with SSIS and/or SSRS
  • Eager to learn
