Workplace: Hybrid/Remote ( #LI-Remote )

Job Summary

Are you passionate about creating digital experiences that make it easier for customers to understand their options, find the right solutions, and take action? 

 

As Manager, Web Experience & Growth, you will own the customer-facing, front-end website experience across Farmers.com, Foremost.com, and BristolWest.com. You will be responsible for how our websites are presented to customers, including site content, information architecture, navigation, landing pages, calls to action, and the overall experience that guides customers to quote, purchase, and service. 

 

You will define and execute the strategic roadmap for continuously improving the website experience, using customer insights, analytics, SEO, and experimentation to increase traffic, engagement, conversion, and self-service. You will lead a team of web content professionals and partner closely with Marketing, SEO, Product, UX, Analytics, and Technology to translate customer and business needs into intuitive, high-performing digital experiences. 

 

This is a highly visible opportunity to shape our digital storefront, improve how customers experience our brands online, and turn our websites into stronger growth and service channels. 

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Own the customer-facing website experience across Farmers.com, Foremost.com and BristolWest.com, including how products, content, calls to action, and customer journeys are presented and organized. 
  • Define and execute the website experience roadmap, establishing priorities for improving content, information architecture, navigation, landing pages and pathways into quote, purchase and service experiences. 
  • Lead and develop a team of web content professionals responsible for creating, publishing, governing, and continuously optimizing customer-facing website experiences. 
  • Translate customer needs, business priorities, performance insights and growth opportunities into front-end website experience requirements, partnering with UX, Product and Technology teams on design and delivery. 
  • Own website content strategy and governance, ensuring experiences are clear, customer-centric, optimized for organic search, aligned with business objectives and compliant with brand and regulatory requirements. 
  • Continuously improve the way products, coverages, offers and value propositions are presented to customers, making complex information easier to understand and helping customers identify relevant next steps. 
  • Lead conversion-rate optimization and experimentation across website content, navigation, page layouts, calls to action, landing pages and customer journeys. 
  • Leverage digital analytics, customer insights, search trends and market trends to identify customer friction, uncover opportunities, prioritize investments and measure business impact. 
  • Partner with SEO and Paid Media teams to ensure acquisition strategies connect customers to relevant, optimized website experiences that effectively move them toward quote and purchase. 
  • Establish and monitor key performance measures for the website experience, including traffic, engagement, customer progression, conversion, and self-service outcomes. 

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum seven years of experience in web experience, digital experience, website management, e-commerce, digital product, content strategy, growth marketing or conversion optimization, with demonstrated experience improving customer-facing website experiences.
  • Demonstrated success managing and building relationships to drive customer acquisition or sales.
  • In-depth understanding of website and key levers that impact traffic and conversion rates. 
  • Familiar with creating programs that are strictly measured against quantitative ROI-based objectives.

 

Additional preferred experience:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategies or roadmaps for large-scale customer-facing websites or digital experiences. 
  • Strong understanding of website UX, information architecture, navigation, content strategy, customer journeys, and conversion optimization. 
  • Experience translating customer and business needs into clear requirements for front-end website enhancements and partnering with design, product and technology teams to deliver them. 
  • Experience developing and executing A/B tests or other forms of digital experimentation to improve engagement and conversion. 
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO and the relationship between site structure, content, customer experience and organic discovery. 
  • Experience working with enterprise content management systems and web publishing processes. 
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS fundamentals and emerging AI, personalization and optimization capabilities.
  • Experience with digital analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar tools. 
  • Experience leading and developing direct reports preferred.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to build effective partnerships across Marketing, Product, UX, Analytics and Technology. 
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand the capabilities and constraints involved in delivering digital experiences. 
  • Ability to prioritize competing opportunities and make recommendations based on customer impact, business value and effort. 
  • Adaptable and forward-thinking, with an interest in emerging digital, AI and personalization capabilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead and develop effective teams. 

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred. Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.

Physical Actions

Job is performed in-person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location. The physical work environment is indoors and climate-controlled with adequate lighting and ventilation. Normal and customary distractions include background noise produced by office equipment and chatter among people, as well as interruptions. Frequently sits for prolonged periods of time, up to a full shift. Occasionally moves about the workplace including, navigating stairs, ramps, and level or uneven surfaces. Occasionally moves, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and/or places objects or materials weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Frequently uses shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate equipment, tools, and objects necessary to perform job duties. Frequently performs fine motor tasks such as typing, mousing, or writing, up to a full shift. Rarely performs movements such as bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees. Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information. Relies on depth perception and peripheral vision to navigate the work environment visually by identifying barriers, changes in terrain and locating objects. Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace. Jobs in this category require rare, if any, travel.

Physical Environment

This position operates in an open office working environment which will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.
