Job Summary

Farmers Insurance Exchange (Olathe, KS) seeks a Network Subject Matter Expert II to serve as escalation point for Operations for complex issues and problems with the specific system(s). Specific duties include: manage and report on service level agreements (SLAs); act as the technical/engineering subject matter expert (SME) responsible for issue resolution and coordination; conduct system monitoring and reporting for proper performance (KPIs), SLAs, issues and projects; provide direct support for all related budget management for annual maintenance and refresh upgrades for the specific technologies; perform complex and advanced MACs, upgrades, patches with special emphasis on proper security patches; be SME and engineering lead for updates, maintenance, and any hardware upgrades; support expansion and change activities for projects, including gathering, documenting and validating customer requirements; provide direct support of specified SME systems, such as Network SME and Telecom SME; provide general support for project activities within network and telecom; be primary SME for cloud IVR platform; and provide support for all projects, integrations, and implementations across many systems. Option to work remotely is available.


Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 6 years of experience in the job offered, or similar positions working with network and/or telecom systems. Must have 6 years of experience with each of the following: working with speech enabled and natural language IVR (Interactive Voice Response) platforms; administering and managing IVR platform and routing switch platform such as Cisco, Avaya, or Genesys; and working with Verint call recording. Must also have 3 years of experience with each of the following: working in software development of digital products from inception to deployment; integrating Claims CRM Application changes; participating in testing and production environment as IVR and IT changes are made; acting as a liaison between the Business and Development teams; and supporting users in building business case, including cost and benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high-level plan. Option to work remotely is available.
