Job Summary

 

Farmers Group (Phoenix, AZ) seeks an Application Subject Matter Expert III to provide expertise in the design and functionality of business applications. Specific duties include: reviewing and validating the detailed technical design for business applications provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements; validating suppliers’ estimates and estimating Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort/cost of new application functionality; performing quality review checks on project deliverables; supporting users in building Business Case, including cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high level plan; supporting implementation activities and troubleshooting system environmental issues; and performing impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system. Position requires occasional travel within the U.S.

 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Module Leader, or similar position in software development. Specific experience must include each of the following: P&C Claim systems; P&C Claim domain and business processes in claim handling; analyzing impacts and producing design patterns that solve the problem at hand; evaluating and producing rough order of magnitude effort for sizing and business case calculations; understanding hardware/software requirements for the changes; development in CRM systems, including Siebel; best coding practices for quality checks of the codes delivered by suppliers; operationalizing application in production with post-implementation support of changes and deployment; and working with cross-functional and multi-skilled technological teams to ensure successful delivery. Must be willing to occasionally travel within the U.S.
