Our hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Job Summary

  • Manages a team of product analysts for a designated countrywide product.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining and implementation of short term strategy within assigned product line.
  • Creates and influences market and product coverage specific strategies and operating standards with the input from senior leadership.
  • Owns tactical regulatory and compliance changes, product innovation and competitor analysis including products/coverage.
  • Influences partners in Sales, Underwriting and Service to meet product best practices and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develops market strategies through class and risk management techniques.
  • Creates product initiatives, rating and filing strategies.
  • Oversees research of product industry trends to develop strategies in order to take advantage of changing markets prior to the competition.
  • Collaborates with Actuary, Underwriting, Sales & Marketing, Technology, and Claims in the review of loss trends and large loss reviews, underwriting appetite, coverages, and innovation.
  • Works with the senior leadership to develop short and long-term projects. Creates and leads P&L driven projects through execution.
  • Works with Project Management in the oversight of projects through implementation. Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Actions

This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions. Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in business management, mathematics, management information, finance, actuarial science, economics or other analytics related field.

Experience Requirements

  • 4-10 years related experience required.

Special Skill Requirement

  • Product experience with workers compensation strongly preferred.
  • Project Management experience highly preferred
  • Compliance background is a plus

 

Candidate qualifications may be reviewed against the requirements for the associated levels of this position's core function. Salary grade will be based on selected candidates' experience and skills.

    o NY Only: $95,040 - $163,000
             o Albany County: ​​​​​​​$103,920 - $175,000
    o WA Only:  ​​​​​​​$97,440 - $219,000
