Job Summary

Responsible for driving Life sales and achieving profitable growth for the Company by translating strategy into consistent execution and performance. Utilizes data trends, sales analytics, and market insights to inform strategy, develops campaigns, refine messaging, enhance agent branding and increase Life penetration in households. Ensures agent life revenue growth and measurable sales outcomes are achieved. Responsible for driving and maintaining the Sales Quality Framework and achieving profitable growth in life insurance.

Essential Job Functions

Drives sales and profitable growth by cascading activation priorities to the field. Works closely with Farmers Life Distribution Strategy and Analytics to interpret data, identify performance patterns and proactively monitor market, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities for the business. Uses data insights to guide field execution and strengthen agent sales outcomes in coordination with Farmers Distribution. Responds to requests for sales support services - including collateral development, online initiatives, branding, and other needs - while ensuring business needs/interests are accurately represented in all agent-facing initiatives. Ensures incentives and recognition reflect a strong emphasis on business quality, productivity metrics, and profitable growth. Continuously monitors team performance metrics, profitability, and agent sales objectives to identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Manages and oversees Life Agent compensation and incentive strategies to maintain alignment with desired sales performance outcomes and budget commitments. Refines and executes Sales Quality Framework with a data-informed approach, building strategies and execution points around reduction of first year lapses to improve product profitability. Execute Sales Quality Framework and first year/over lapses. Reinforces segmentation and playbook adoption based on performance insights. Drive sales analytics research and imbeds best practices. In partnership with University of Farmers, constructs training strategy that strengthens sales quality and improves focus on providing customer with suitable products and solutions that address individual, family and business needs. Manages distribution research programs conducted to track competitive performance and identify emerging trends. Partners with Farmers and Zurich analytics teams to fully leverage the market intelligence available across the company, with specific focus on cross-sell and up sell. Leads regional life performance reviews grounded in trend analysis and actionable insights. Works with the business to turn various sources of data and analytics into timely, actionable insight for Zone Life Heads and Farmers Distribution. Supports and drives sales campaigns and product launches using insights from analytics to target opportunities to close performance gaps. Works closely with Farmers Distribution, Kraft Lake and Farmers Financial Solutions to identify data-driven opportunities to solve gaps in cross sell and up sell opportunities, and improve Agent growth and income opportunities through the Farmers Life channel. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree required.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 15 years job related experience with extensive knowledge of insurance products and field sales processes.

Additional Qualification

Superior consultative, interpersonal, diplomacy, communication, presentation, crisis management and facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to understand and respond to the needs of target audiences and member segments. Proven planning, priority setting, time management and decision making skills. Ability to achieve results in dynamic environment.

Physical Actions

Job is performed in-person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location. Job may include work performed at field locations. The physical work environment is indoors and climate-controlled with adequate lighting and ventilation. Normal and customary distractions include background noise produced by office equipment and chatter among people, as well as interruptions. Field work performed outdoors may include exposure to weather elements. Frequently sits or stands for prolonged periods of time, up to a full shift. Occasionally moves about the workplace including navigating stairs, ramps, and level or uneven surfaces. Occasionally moves, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and places objects or materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Frequently uses shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate equipment, tools, and objects necessary to perform job duties. Frequently performs fine motor tasks such as typing, mousing, or writing, up to a full shift. Occasionally performs movements such as bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees. Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information. Relies on depth perception and peripheral vision to navigate the work environment visually by identifying barriers, changes in terrain and locating objects. Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace. Jobs in this category may require regular travel between Farmers offices, alternative work locations, and/or field locations.
