Job Summary

Drives sales of individual life insurance products and takes ownership and accountability for sales results primarily through a point of sale focus and influence with key distribution partners. Develops and implements effective business plans to increase sales and retention efforts that improve agent productivity and engagement. Effectively partners with field leadership in the agency relationship with core emphasis and accountability for life results.

Essential Job Functions

Key focus is promoting Life value proposition and driving sales results for multiple product lines. Takes ownership and accountability for sales results within assigned territory, including assisted and unassisted sales activity, primarily through a point of sale focus. Serves as the primary Life contact point for Agents and/or DMs to build and maximize agency/company relationship. Develops and executes individual sales plan to drive sales growth in order to meet or exceed annual sales objective. Meets assigned activity requirements and firm production goals. Reviews operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Farmers New World Life’s products, services, and programs to compete and sell in the marketplace. Provides illustration and case design recommendations on product enhancements and/or focus of sales efforts. Serves as an effective liaison between the Home Office and financial advisors relating to underwriting, commissions, customer service, and/or licensing questions. Utilizes advanced level consultative skills to build agent relationships in order to train on products, services and technology to achieve objectives and ensure functional effectiveness of business. Engages in sales coaching, training, wholesaling and point of sales activities within assigned territory. Presents sales techniques and strategies to assist in selling Farmers Life products, meeting with clients when appropriate. Recruits and develops life insurance producers to work with and for Farmers exclusive agents.

Physical Actions

Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (e.g. others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.

Physical Environment

This position operates in an open office working environment which will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience Requirements

5-7 years direct point of sale, sales leadership and life insurance wholesale experience required.

Special Skill Requirement

Life and FINRA 6, 63 Licenses required. CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) preferred.
