Job Summary

Farmers Insurance is seeking motivated individuals to join our Enterprise Marketing and Digital Production Enablement team. As a Production Enablement team member, the team’s responsibilities include responding to production issues, daily application maintenance, incident management and resolution, process improvement, application monitoring and alert strategy and overall application stability of our Customer Facing applications. You will participate and drive production outage resolution, ensuring the right support staff are engaged and executive communications are sent, be responsible for team and application metrics and the quality of the data supporting them. Applications in this portfolio may include a combination of in-house developed, locally hosted, and SaaS systems.

Essential Job Functions

  • Become the application SME 
  • Drive incident management resolution/engagement 
  • Identify, report and aid in the diagnosis and resolution to problems arising from production monitoring and alerting issues
  • Create and Maintain Application Runbooks for production support team
  • Prepare and log production issues, logging all details relevant to the issue including observations, diagnoses, and possible actions to resolve the issue
  • Investigate, analyze and document reported defects – raising issues as appropriate
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues to analyze the available data and find the root cause of the problem
  • Assist users with production questions and research including attending meetings, phone calls, emails, live message chats
  • Support production deployments including post implementation validations
  • Must be able to Multi-Task in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with IT and Business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot end to end technical solutions/automations

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or specific relevant experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. 

Experience Requirements

Level II: 4 years of experience in application development / testing or business / system analysis role or 2 year as an Application Support Analyst Level I

Special Skill Requirement

  • May require occasional traveling.
  • Good written and oral skills in local language.
  • 5+ years in large enterprise environments.
  • Motivated self-starter capable of working on individual tasks as well as team-oriented tasks.
  • Ability to clearly communicate status and updates.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks and escalate as needed.
  • Skilled in problem solving and learning new technologies.
  • Experience with IT Operations, ITIL, ITSM.
  • Experience with SDLC and application development.
  • AppDynamics knowledge or experience a plus
  • Splunk knowledge or experience a plus
