Job Summary
- Responsible for developing and launching new products and enhancing existing products to include feature analysis, business requirement documentation, user acceptance testing plan development, construction of appropriate language and coverages.
- Conducts assessment of regulatory considerations; recognizes potential exposures and associated underwriting needs; develops necessary rating structures and obtains filing approvals.
Essential Job Functions
- Takes ownership of design, documentation, implementation, user acceptance testing, regulatory filing and monitoring of assigned prod ucts and product features.
- Develops short term and long term plans for assigned products and product features.
- Manages development of product pricing, underwriting and contract changes.
- Engages with the customer research, UX, and marketing teams to ensure a customer-centric design and develop a go-to market strategy that drives product and partner performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Collects and analyzes data to determine product enhancements and define business requirements.
- Manages the overall analysis and research performed in the development and its alignment with other products, services, experiences, partners and integrations.
- Participates in development of national product initiatives.
- Represents the product perspective on assigned projects and partner/vendor relationships.
- Takes leadership role in special projects as assigned by senior leader.
- Stays abreast of industry developments, changing technology and consumer/societal trends.
- Negotiates and sets priorities to align pr oduct goals with overall New Ventures goals.
- Facilitates through other parts of the organization and external partners and vendors to accomplish results.
- Responsible for providing requirements and user acceptance testing plans to IT for system changes.
- Works with team members across New Ventures to achieve goals.
- Coordinates state and home office legislative and regulatory affairs providing input on key bills and regulation.
- Manages the regulatory filing process for assigned projects to ensure approval of product and product features in a timely fashion. Coordinates UAT for assigned projects to ensure products/features are implemented at the highest quality, meeting business needs, and in compliance with all state and federal laws.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
