Job Summary

Partners with business teams and Information Delivery Analysts to deliver and implement basic data and analytics-centric solutions that enable business outcomes. Projects are of varying complexity and will be completed independently or in coordination with Information Delivery Analysts and with coaching and guidance as needed depending on task complexity.

Essential Job Functions

  • Works with stakeholders on new project intake and requirements gathering, then works with peers to deliver products that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and establish analytics requirements.
  • Develops basic analytics solutions for quality, business process functionality, or other strategic/data/analytic initiatives of limited complexity.
  • Creates detailed documentation and business plans that address stakeholder needs.
  • Liaises between IT, Information Delivery Analysts, and business units to enable analytics models and data solutions.
  • Trusted business partner working with business leaders and cross-functional teams to identify key challenges and work on resolutions with the goal of improving organizational performance.
  • Develops and implements basic data integration strategies that utilize various data sources and applications to enhance reporting.
  • Continuously works to improve business relationships, dashboards, and reports to meet emerging and changing business demands and guidelines.
  • Consults on UAT, technical specifications, strategic planning, contract design, technical support, testing updates, and trainings.
  • Manages data from multiple sources and uses project management skills to complete simple projects independently or complex projects in coordination with Information Delivery Analysts.
  • Transmits data and proactively works to ensure data quality.
  • Troubleshoots data issues and devises creative and effective ways to avoid or mitigate issues.

Experience Requirements

  • 2 years of work experience in leadership, data related project management, or data analytics strongly preferred. 
  • Experience in insurance industry preferred.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.

  • SQL Experience/ Understand relational databases. 
  • Project Management (taking the Initiative/self starter).
  • Conflict resolution. 
  • Prioritizing/Organizing chaos 
  • Translating terminology between stakeholders/IT/InfoD. 
  • Experience with business reports. 
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.

  • Possesses strong technical aptitude.
  • Basic experience with: SQL or similar, dimensional modeling, pipeline orchestration, building data pipelines to transform data, and BI visualizations.

  • Ability to influence internal and/or external constituents.
  • Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty.

Physical Actions

 Job is performed in-person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location. The physical work environment is indoors and climate-controlled with adequate lighting and ventilation. Normal and customary distractions include background noise produced by office equipment and chatter among people, as well as interruptions. Frequently sits for prolonged periods of time, up to a full shift. Occasionally moves about the workplace including, navigating stairs, ramps, and level or uneven surfaces. Occasionally moves, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and/or places objects or materials weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Frequently uses shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate equipment, tools, and objects necessary to perform job duties. Frequently performs fine motor tasks such as typing, mousing, or writing, up to a full shift. Rarely performs movements such as bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees. Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information. Relies on depth perception and peripheral vision to navigate the work environment visually by identifying barriers, changes in terrain and locating objects. Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to 1 of 2 auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace.
