Job Summary
The role of Senior Project Manager – Third Party Data Strategy is responsible for developing and guiding our strategy to optimize external vendors and third-party data usage to achieve personal lines business goals.
• This individual will manage and develop end-to-end vendor solutions, establish deep expertise of vendor products in the marketplace, and plan/scale solutions to meet business needs.
• This individual will develop analytical insights on the value of existing data partnerships as well as assess new partnerships to make implementation recommendations
• This individual will require managing a portfolio of concurrent projects that balances the needs of the organization against available resources including use of internal and external developers and stakeholders, where required, ensuring full visibility of all current and pipeline projects with timely decisions and accountability.
• This individual will be responsible for the development and delivery of projects throughout the full project lifecycle in accordance with the company policies and guidelines ensuring the stakeholders are fully informed at all stages of development.
Essential Job Functions
• Leads discussions and collaborates with key stakeholders to create data solution opportunities to achieve business goals.
• Proactively manages and owns all project changes assigned that are evaluated and sanctioned through formal change control.
• Stakeholders are fully engaged and appraised at all stages of development. Interfaces with key stakeholders to instill a customer centric experience thru communication collaboration.
• Stays knowledgeable of industry and market trends and puts forth ideas to improve product growth and profitability initiatives.
• Presents updates and frame issues to the project steering committees.
• Identifies and escalates issues if and when required.
• Modifies to project specific requirements and manages the extensive change management process.
• Projects closed with closure reports finalized with sponsor sign off as needed. Cognizant of the brand and style of policy forms and works to protect company reputation during language drafting.
• Contributes to the annual financial planning cycle.
• Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and is resourceful in using internal/external research to find a solution.
• Responsible for work product, and development of junior staff.
Physical Actions
• Job is performed in-person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location.
• Job may include work performed at field locations.
• The physical work environment is indoors and climate-controlled with adequate lighting and ventilation.

• Field work performed outdoors may include exposure to weather elements.
• Frequently sits or stands for prolonged periods of time, up to a full shift.

• Frequently uses shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate equipment, tools, and objects necessary to perform job duties.
• Frequently performs fine motor tasks such as typing, mousing, or writing, up to a full shift.
• Occasionally performs movements such as bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees.
• Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information.
• Relies on depth perception and peripheral vision to navigate the work environment visually by identifying barriers, changes in terrain and locating objects.
• Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace.
• Jobs in this category may require regular travel between Farmers offices, alternative work locations, and/or field locations.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or related industry preferred.
- Master's degree a plus.
Experience Requirements
- Seven years of experience in Personal Lines P&C insurance indusry with demonstrated Project Management role capabilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with third-party data vendor marketplace.
- Expert skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
Note: Candidate qualifications may be reviewed against the requirements for the associated levels of this position's core function. Salary grade will be based on selected candidates' experience and skills.
