Our hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Job Summary

  • Coordinates financial performance reporting process for Farmers Exchanges, Farmers Management Services (FMS), and Farmers Reinsurance.
  • Responsible for ensuring the reporting completeness and accuracy within Zurich applications.
  • Assists in the preparation of Performance related financial reports.
  • Assists with the forecasting and annual planning processes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinates the Zurich financial reporting processes.
  • Responsibilities include: coordinating the monthly and annual process to input data into the Zurich EPM application, working directly with the accountants to validate monthly results, as well as inputting forecasts ensuring Zurich Data Quality Dashboard measurement scores are fully achieved. Works directly with various leaders, as required. Coordinates calls with Zurich and assists in presenting results and forecasts to upper management.
  • Prepares the annual FMS Plan, including the narratives, supporting schedules and annual calculations.
  • Analyzes and prepares Plan and Prior Year financial variance explanations on a monthly basis.
  • Prepares monthly Scorecards and Farmers Management Summary Report to Executive Committee, various Boards and Leadership team for release.
  • Prepares the Country Story Report for submission to Zurich.
  • Evaluates financial results and provides financial commentary for various reports.
  • Completes analysis, evaluates financial impacts and recommends action to be taken on financial matters.
  • Performs ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects, as requested.
  • Promotes safety at all times and complies with safety/ergonomic standards as outlined in relevant company published manuals.

Education Requirements

  

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, Masters or similar preferred.
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • External candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of prior Accounting or Finance experience including 1 year as an Accounting or Finance Supervisor.
  • The same time-on-job requirement is preferred for internal candidates.

Physical Environment

  • Required job duties are normally performed in a climate- controlled office environment.

Benefits

  • Farmers offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications and location. Candidate qualifications may be reviewed against the requirements for the associated levels of this position's core function. Salary grade will be based on selected candidate's experience and skills.
    o CA Only: $92,720 - $134,000
    o CO Only: $87,040 - $115,900 
    o HI Only: $87,040 - $124,100
    o IL Only: $87,040 - $124,100
    o NY/ DC Only: $84,880 - $130,700 
             o Albany County: $92,720 - $115,900 
    o WA Only:  $87,040 - $155,125
