Job Summary

Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks an Agile Dev Team Member IV to contribute to the development design, testing and/or deployment of system functionality. Specific duties include: demonstrate customer needs by interpreting into viable solutions and contribute to the system design; perform impact assessments relating people, processes and/or technology; analyze and evaluate existing manual and computerized systems/procedures to improve efficiency; identify and raise issues and risks with functional design and offer alternative solutions; provide expertise in the solution design and functionality of business applications; review and validate application technical design of team members; quality check program code, related objects and documentation; support implementation activities, troubleshoot user/system environmental issues and training; research and develop techniques for automation; document and implement programs; provide guidance to junior team members; conduct ongoing assessment of current state and seek out opportunities for improvement; conduct research, design, prototyping and other exploration activities which foster innovation and build alignment between the customer need and what is delivered; offer and implement innovative ideas within multiple areas of focus; and encourage group members to take ownership of the process and the outcomes. May work remotely 40% of the time.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in, Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Programmer Analyst, Business Analyst, Consultant, or similar position in software development. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: working with quality assurance, testing program code, related objects and documentation; and supporting implementation activities, troubleshooting user/system environmental issues and training. Must have 3 years of experience with each of the following: working on requirement management tool Rally; and working with quality control tool HP ALM (Quality Center). Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: managing business requirements of policy administration platforms like Guidewire Policy Center or similar; performing broad and detailed impact assessments relating to processes and/or technology to evaluate work; analyzing and evaluating existing manual and computerized systems/procedures to improve efficiency; and documenting and implementing programs according to installation standards and conventions. Additionally, must have 1 year of experience with each of the following: researching and developing techniques for business process automation; interacting with vendors (CLUE and ISO) for integration testing; and working with Data Warehousing using Oracle. May work remotely 40% of the time.
