Job Summary

Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks an Agile Developer Team Member V to be responsible for the development design, testing and deployment of system functionality. Specific duties include: end to end delivery ownership of a feature; follow full cycle development; understand the applications including enterprise backend; influence PO to take critical features; pro-actively identify the risk and dependencies, raise concerns; conduct co-ordination with multiple stakeholders; take the ownership of releases; take ownership for few application repositories and maintain better code quality; support production outage calls; contribute the performance improvements; work with System Architect to create Sequence diagram, Flow diagram and Component diagrams as required and get it reviewed/approved with SA before the PI planning; collaborate with System Architects upfront, guide the team during the PI planning, solution design discussions and execution; drive feature walkthrough to the team and reach out to the System Architects as needed; and contribute to the CES score, pro-actively read the CES comments and fix them. Position requires occasional travel within the U.S. Option to work remotely is available.


Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as Tech Lead, Application Development Senior Analyst, Technology Analyst, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar position responsible for the development design, testing and deployment of system functionality. Specific experience must include working with each of the following: Angular UI Responsiveness; CSS; Java Script; J2EE; DB2; SQL Server; Oracle; SQL; Stored Procedures; SOAP, REST API; XML; HTML; JSON; Web Service; Batch jobs; Application Development; Technical Design Specifications; Scaled Agile Framework; Rally; Scenario based testing; and Test Driven Development. Must also have experience with each of the following: designing business workflows, user interface screens, and insurance underwriting rules; working with external systems and services for data exchange; performing quality review checks on project deliverables; acting as liaison between Business and IT while holding an end-to-end view of the system; and recommending integration and parallel testing criteria. Must be willing to occasionally travel within the U.S. Option to work remotely is available.
