Job Summary

Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks an Agile Developer Team Member V to be responsible for the design, development, testing and/or deployment of system functionality to improve existing business processes and customer experience. Specific duties include: break down features and write and refine user stories; perform broad and detailed impact assessments relating people, processes and/or technology to evaluate work; provide expertise in the solution design and functionality of business applications; identify and raise issues and risks with functional design and offer alternative solutions; conduct research, design, and prototyping; analyze and document the requirements and approaches to data conversion and data modeling; analyze and make recommendations on the need for system backup, restart/recovery, balancing and controls and recommend approaches for meeting such needs; code instructions for computer programs/objects/components in multiple; configure packaged software; quality check program code, related objects and documentation; deliver working code each sprint; document and implement programs according to installation standards and conventions using DevOps tools like GitHub; support implementation activities, troubleshoot user/system environmental issues and training; define advanced test plans needed to achieve appropriate level of coverage and contribute to overall test strategy; identify complex errors to trouble shoot and execute root cause analysis; report the status of the test plan execution; provide input in the development of application quality and testing standards and best practices; demonstrate working code to Product and Business Owners and supports the Product Owner in the execution; plan work via the preparation for and participation in Program Increment (PI) Planning and Sprint Planning; and participate in on-going and scheduled Backlog Refinement sessions. Position requires Salesforce Certified Platform Developer and Salesforce Application or Integration Architect certifications. Position requires occasional travel within the U.S. Option to work remotely is available.


Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Software Engineer, Manager, Package Solution Consultant, or similar experience in the IT software development role. Must have 7 years of experience working with system analysis, application development, testing, and deployment of IT systems. Must also have 5 years of experience with each of the following: working with CRM technologies, including Salesforce Service cloud; developing programs/objects/components in multiple applications using technologies such as Salesforce Service Cloud, Apex Classes, JavaScript, CTI, Omni Channel, Lightning web components, APIs, OData Layer, CSS, HTML, and SQL Server; and working with projects in P&C insurance. Additionally, must have 3 years of experience with each of the following: working with Cisco telephony systems, Verint call recording capabilities, and iEX workforce management; working with MuleSoft for complex integrations; and working with SQL and ETL data applications, including Informatica. Specific experience must also include 1 year of experience mentoring junior developers. Must be Salesforce certified Platform Developer and Salesforce Application or Integration Architect. Must be willing to occasionally travel within the US. Option to work remotely is available.
