Job Summary

Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Marketing Analyst III to be responsible for supporting distribution objectives for profitable growth, producer footprint, agency conversion, productive agencies, target market development, and agency development by conducting data analytics, statistical modeling, business performance analytics, and developing analytical tools. Specific duties include: developing and maintaining business performance reports, dashboard, and analytical tools (10%); leveraging agent and district information to make business decisions regarding areas of opportunity, segmentation of agents, planning, etc. (10%); implementing local market planning and analysis (10%); developing visual graphics and dashboards in Power BI or other visualization applications for different business users to target profitable markets and products (10%); setting targets, researching and conducting analytical studies to solve business problems (15%); identifying agencies in opportunity markets and agent segmentation for growth (10%); managing bonus promotional programs, creating new performance metric requirements, and providing business performance data (10%); validating data integrity and data cleansing including conducting data extraction using SQL, Python and automating reporting processes using R and VBA to prepare strategic scorecards and presentations to Sr. Leadership (20%); and creating new metrics and communicating requirements with developers (5%). Option to work remotely with required travel to local offices as needed, if within 50 miles of remote worksite.

 

Position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Analytics, Statistics, or a closely related field of study, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Data Management Senior Specialist, Business Performance Analytics Specialist, or similar position conducting data analytics, statistical modeling, business performance analytics, and developing analytical tools. Must have 2 years of experience working with each of the following: statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, optimization and simulation; database design and development; data mining; Descriptive and Predictive modeling techniques; reporting packages; databases including SQL, DB2, and Snowflake; Data Visualization and analytical tools including R, Python, Tableau, and Power BI; and Data Management and processing tools including Advanced MS Excel VBA and SQL Server. Must also have 2 years of experience with each of the following: working in the Property & Casualty insurance industry; using statistical packages for analyzing datasets; collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information; working with queries; and preparing reports and presenting findings. Option to work remotely with required travel to local offices as needed, if within 50 miles of remote worksite:
