Product Design Lead, User Experience

Job Summary

 

 

As a Product Design Lead for APEX, you are responsible for overall product design strategy. You will be working closely and collaboratively with the Product Managers and Developer Leads to grow strategic concepts through design exploration, ideation, and user validation. You will be responsible for answering: Are we designing the right thing? And are we designing the thing right? 

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Product Discovery: Together with our research team, you will clearly articulate what problem we’re solving for agents. You will understand their jobs to be done and what prevents them from doing those jobs efficiently. You will become an expert around their context, their options, their workarounds, their hacks in order to focus the development team on building the right thing.
  • Holistic Experience Design: By understanding Salesforce Lightning capabilities and limitations, you will help make recommendations around UX solutions that genuinely meet Agents’ needs while limiting technical debt. You will connect the dots between various systems that agents are using and design approaches to streamline their workflows.
  • Prototyping: Rapid prototyping, experimentation and testing will be a keystone of your design approach. Conceptual prototypes, to wireframes and mid-fidelity mockups will be used to present concepts, present to leadership, align with development, and of course tested with agents. 
  • User Testing: Work with recruitment and research team to develop concepts, content and prototypes to be tested. Develop report with agents for quick and timely feedback. 
  • Interaction, visual, and content design: Working together with dedicated UX designers you will be responsible for the interaction design, visual design and information architecture of the application. 

Education Requirements

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.

Experience Requirements

 

  • 5+ years product design experience as UI / UX / Service design lead
  • Experience designing for enterprise systems (Salesforce experience required.)
  • Clarity of communication – able to effectively present to leadership, developers and end users
  • Strategic design thinking – sweat the details while keeping an eye on the big picture
  • Strong design and prototyping skills using Sketch, Figma, Axure
