Job Summary

Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Product Owner III to fully independently lead in several areas of product development by following the principles of Agile to manage the team backlog, anticipate and prioritize needs, oversee development stages, act as a primary liaison and evaluate product progress. Specific duties include: apply basic scientific practice within iterations in order to routinely plan, do, check and adjust; lead processes and procedure change identified by teams by working with external business partners; lead PO and/or ART sync meetings in addition to the system demo to show critical aspects of the solution; regularly interact closely with the Product Manager in order to discuss goals and vision of the business/value stream, sharing extensive knowledge in order to make sound decisions; and partner with stakeholders to identify and organize steps required for next iteration. Option to work remotely is available.

 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in, Computer Science, or closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or similar position. Must have 5 years of web-based Java development experience. Must also have 3 years of PolicyCenter Integration and Configuration and Rating experience, including 3 years with each of the following: designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and maintaining GOSU language application code within Guidewire PolicyCenter; writing business rules and other business logic; configuring operational and administration related parameters such as roles and permissions, user attributes regions, or activity patterns; developing Plugin and Custom batch components in PolicyCenter; working with real time web service and near real time message based integrations; working with integration accelerators; working with Rating book, Pre rate modules, and Rating routines; playing product owner role to two teams defining the product back log by working with product manager every PI; assisting team on daily basis to resolve any blockers they may have delivering the planned features during PI; assisting team to complete UAT for the planned PI features and working with Integration architecture and platforms including OSB, ESB, and JDBC. Option to work remotely is available.
