Job Summary

Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Scrum Master III to consistently model the advanced qualities of a servant leader and effectively remove impediments and actively communicate with leadership and outside stakeholders to protect the team from uncontrolled expansion of work while improving performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow and velocity. Specific duties include: aid the team and Product Owner in efforts to manage and sequence the backlog; assist in building a high-performing team and foster relentless improvement at the Team and Program level while improving team performance in areas of quality, predictability, flow and velocity; identify SAFe anti-patterns and resolve with limited support and apply SAFe principles to facilitation, enablement, and coaching for multiple teams; utilize experience using tools to create metrics that measure and report on team performance, backlog health and continuous improvement; utilize advanced coaching capabilities to influence teams and advise on practices and procedures, soft-skills and Lean Agile mind-set; guide teams through the decision-making process and teach techniques on how to problem solve, improve communication, self-management and self-organization; apply SAFe principles to facilitation, enablement, and coaching in a multi-team environment; apply Behavior Driven Development and Test-Driven Development and support the adoption of engineering practices, DevOps, and Agile Architecture; mentor and guide other scrum masters on SAFe principles and manifesto. Position requires Scrum Master certification. Option to work remotely is available.



Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology Project Management, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Scrum Master/ Analyst, SAFe Scrum Master, or similar position. Specific experience must include: working with Kanban, Scrum, and XP; working with tool used in Agile such as Rally or similar; working with Behavior Driven Development and Test Driven Development; working with DevOps and Agile Architecture; working with fostering an environment for high-performing teams and improvement; helping team in managing interpersonal conflicts and challenges; influencing internal and external constituents; challenging existing norms to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow and velocity; explaining ideas in a way that are engaging and geared toward the audience; developing and delivering effective presentations; coaching and delivering constructive feedback; and leading and managing others. Must have Scrum Master certification. Option to work remotely is available.
