Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Program Manager II to manage a group of staff supporting a set of complex policy administration applications for a key business function. Specific duties include: plan, monitor and control the day to day program tasks; work with business unit to define needs, arrange appropriate resources, manage Production incidents, and coordinate delivery of work from several suppliers; oversee the deliverables of supplier resources; oversee production incidents, technical calls, and direct troubleshooting activities; perform data analytics; oversee stakeholder communications, prepare management reports, and attend meetings; prepare/evaluate project estimates and resource forecasting; oversee changes/ continuous process improvements.
Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering in Computer Science or related field of study, plus 6 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Program Analyst Trainee, Programmer Analyst, Associate – Projects, Senior Associate – Projects, Manager – Projects, or similar position. Specific experience must include: 3 years of experience in a managerial role that included supervision of employees, supervision of external suppliers, and experience with human resource related tasks such as hiring, counseling, and termination; 3 years of experience managing onshore/offshore resources and enforcement of SLA’s/KPI’s; and 2 years of experience with each of the following: working and managing projects in Java, Mainframe (COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2); working with Content Management Technologies (Documaker, xPression, and LiveCycle); and working in Insurance Policy Administration System. Must also have 1 year of experience with each of the following: Transformational/Migration projects; and Data Analytics.
