A Bristol West Subrogation representative will investigate, file and respond to arbitration demands for both first and third party, investigate liability, confirm subrogation potential, establish fair recoveries and negotiate settlement of subrogation claims.
Daily maintenance of electronic claims system diary and email. The electronic claims systems have diaries for each file in inventory which include actions such as incoming correspondence and documents to review; incoming phone calls; follow-up activities to be completed or deadlines to meet. The diaries serve as a daily to-do list for the claims.
Basic negotiations and negligence discussions with adverse carriers or attorneys. #Basic# connotes limited financial and negotiation authority on claims of minor complexity. Able to evaluate recovery potential on simple loss types and determine quickest method of recovery.
Conformance to national, state, and local insurance regulations
Consultation with supervisor, trainer and/or peer mentor regarding negligence evaluations, file strategies, negotiations or other trainings as needed
Bending, Pulling, Sorting and Carrying up to 20 lbs. Pushing, Speaking (English), Climbing, Reaching, Standing, Key entering, Reading (English), Walking, Kneeling, Seeing and Writing (English).
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
Computer literate, valid driver's license, bondable
Required to maintain an active adjusters license in states where required

Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume environment.
