Job Summary:

Assists in the creation, submission and monitoring of all personal lines insurance regulatory rate, rule and form filings according to individual state departments of insurance rules, regulations and timelines. 

Analyzes and designs new and revised forms, creates fillable PDF#s along with analyzing requests to provide

adequate forms control, optimum internal/external efficiency and economical forms cost. Adheres to quality

standards and service level agreements with business partners.

 

Essential Job Functions:

High volume, fast paced, due date driven environment. Coordinates the filing of new and revised personal lines insurance Auto, Home and Umbrella Forms, Rates, and Rules with other functional departments; Verifies and confirms incoming filing materials are complete; Produces, routes and submits Form, Rate and Rule regulatory filings; Complete peer reviews; attends coordination meetings as assigned; serves as filing team contact for assigned states. Follows-up, as necessary, with other functional departments, State Departments of Insurance, Legal to obtain approval to submit prepared filings.

Updates and maintains all product manuals and guides for filing and historical records; Verifies and confirms all filed and posted manuals and guides are up to date and in sync; Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all state Departments of Insurance regulatory filing rules and guidelines.

State specific filing rules and regulation subject matter expert; internal filing process expert; SERFF (System for Electronic Rate and Form Filings) expert. Support for Personal Lines Product Management and Pricing Actuarial projects and research related to rate, rule and form historical filings and documentation. Performs other functions as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

Prefer two years insurance knowledge.

Filing and experience working with updating and maintaining manuals and guides preferred.


Candidate qualifications may be reviewed against the requirements for the associated levels of this position's core function. Salary grade will be based on selected candidates' experience and skills.

 

Special Skill Requirements:

Proficient PC Skills, including Word Processing. Spreadsheets, databases. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Time management skills and excellent process and material validation skills.
