Job Summary 
  
Functions as an assistant to staff operations in the Department. Gives guidance, communications to staff and management/leadership; performs analysis of territory results in assigned areas and develops programs to address solutions; enhances  application of market development, loss ratio, profit and productivity programs; and assists all territory Leadership to achieve results related to Corporate goals. 
  
Essential Job Functions 
  
Provides specialty assistance developed through specific experience and training to the Management and through territory Leadership and other functional areas as directed. Works closely with other Specialists as a support function to provide operational support and to assist in the accomplishment of all Department objectives and goals. Assists Management at the direction of Staff, to analyze and determine areas needing priority attention and provides corrective assistance to effect a solution. Functions as Assistant to the territory Leadership where applicable. Performs other duties as assigned. 
  
Physical Actions 
  
Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs. maximum, and seeing. 
  
Physical Environment 
  
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment. 
  
Education Requirements 
  
Four-year college degree, completion of the AMTC course, and completion of, or actively pursuing CLU, CPCU, LUTCF, GAMMA or NALU studies. Field Management Sales program must be completed within first 12 months of employment.  
  
Experience Requirements 
  
Five years with Farmers in Salary Grade 30 or above, including three years Marketing experience, completion of the Marketing Management Trainee Program and a minimum of eighteen months as Marketing Specialist (or equivalent experience). 
  
Special Skill Requirement 
  
Advanced skills required in Excel (pivot tables)

Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills

Strong Analytics background

Additional responsibilities of the position are:

  • Report development
  • Agent promotions
  • Measurement and planning travel/payoff events, meetings, etc.
