Job Summary 
  
  • Controls and directs fulfillment activity.
  • Assigns and organizes work flow among team to accomplish and maintain maximum production efficiency.
  • Controls and directs shipping and receiving of materials.
  • Trains employees in the operation of inventory and shipping systems, Ariba receiving, Ariba purchase requests, forklift operations and the operations of company vehicles.
  • Able to address all duties of Fulfillment Specialist 1, 2 and 3 positions.
  • Communicates with outside suppliers as needed.
  • Leads small-moderate projects. Interfaces with customers.
  • Assists supervisor as requested.
  • Works closely with co-workers to identify/implement Lean initiatives for continuous operational improvement.
  • Trains co-workers on various aspects of their jobs as well as safety. 
  
Essential Job Functions 
  
  • Controls and manages fulfillment activity.
  • Assigns and organizes work flow among team to accomplish and maintain maximum production efficiency.
  • Controls and directs shipping and receiving of materials.
    Coordinates and reports warehouse cycle-counts and inventory audit activities.
  • Orders replenishment of high volume production envelopes and paper stock, engages vendor ordering systems to release orders.
  • Ensures accuracy of inventory data.
  • Trains co-workers and performs other needed warehousing/fulfillment duties as assigned. Assists department supervisor as requested.  
  
Physical Actions 
  

Sitting, Bending, Cleaning, Climbing, Reaching, Pushing, Seeing, Standing, Walking, Twisting, Speaking/Reading/Writing in English, Pulling, Kneeling, Lifting/Carrying 50 lbs. Operate pallet jack. 

  
Physical Environment 
  

Controlled ambient environmental conditions, Repetitive and moderately high noise level, Chemicals, Moving mechanical parts, Areas considered dangerous, Conditions which would affect the respiratory system or skin (such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, inks, solvents, particulate matter, oils, or poor ventilation), Electrical current, Forklift Traffic. 

  
Education Requirements 
  
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college education, especially in business operations (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license  
  • Forklift certification required
  
Experience Requirements 
  
  • 5 years’ experience in warehousing operations or equivalent
  • Operating certification on forklift equipment (or to be obtained within first 90 days in-house)
  • 1 year experience leading small-moderate projects
  • 1-2 years in a lead role, leading a team
  • Experienced in training staff members
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high pressure production environment or warehouse setting
  • Experience with Lean, Six-Sigma, ISO 9000 or equivalent process improvement initiatives  
  
Special Skill Requirement 
  
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Knowledge and use of Ariba receiving (preferred)
