Participates as a team member to develop marketing projects, new product designs and sales promotion programs to assist the field in achieving Farmers' growth, retention and product density objectives. Responsible for developing action plans and deadlines, assigning tasks to other individuals, tracking project status, testing, and evaluating quality assurance of products and promotions. Directs and works on complex projects and develops results-oriented solutions for various distribution channels. Displays a leadership role on and off projects. Trains and leads new team members. Utilizes expertise and skills to complete project assignments in several areas, i.e., Commissions, Agency Training, Agency Contracts, Value-Added, Field Marketing Management, etc.
Essential Job Functions
Supervises assigned personnel. Acts as a project lead on one or more moderately complex to complex projects, or leads one or more of a particular aspect of complex projects. Is the primary contact of all project-related concerns. Develops project/program/product design and scope; determines project milestones and completion dates. Develops project plans, schedules and measures project success. Calculates project costs, develops budget and determines Return on Investment (ROI). Prepares CAP request and may represent Project Team at CAP committee. Assigns, or works with other business units to achieve project objectives. Ensures all project summaries, progress reports and all out of scope changes are written and reported within the project schedule. Manages detailed tasks, project deliverables and schedules throughout the project development. Identifies project risks and priority issues. Delegates and/or assigns responsibilities in order to meet project milestones and deadlines. Participates as a team member on multiple projects. Leads internal and external team meetings as required. Participates in the development of Marketing Consultant I staff members. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of driving, traveling, occasional walking, standing, and lifting or carrying 20 lbs. maximum.
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
Four-year college degree in Business or related field. Maintains current skills by continually participating in internal and external education and training classes.
Four years experience in Marketing/Sales or related field. Experience managing projects in a development or implementation environment.
Candidate qualifications may be reviewed against the requirements for the associated levels of this position's core function. Salary grade will be based on selected candidates' experience and skills.
