Implements and manages agency development activities in an assigned geographical area. Analyzes, recommends and assists with the de velopment of initiatives for agency development strategies. Responsible for all agent and agency staff recruiting in assigned state(s). Responsible for agent and agency staff training in assigned state(s). Coordinates with the Zone leadership to identify competitor intelligence on related agency development issues and trends. Responsible for the attainment of profitable, all-lines policy-in-force growth (including life and financial services), loss ratio, service and FIG earnings objectives, expense control and spread of risk through the appointment and training of agents and agency staff. Provides competitor and industry analysis to Zone leadership.
Essential Job Functions
Manages the recruiting, agency development and agency training processes and activities established by the Companies; responsible for achieving assigned recruiting and agent head count goals for assigned geographical area. Conducts audits and process reviews department employees to ensure compliance with Company agency development guidelines, Home Office Agencies approval processes and state and federal insurance laws and regulations. Approves all agent and agency staff files in compliance with the Agency Development Guidelines established by the Companies. Provides local market intelligence to Zone leadership on agent contract and value proposition strategies in support of the organization's agency development objectives. Provides feedback to Zone leadership on agent training programs in support of the organization's training and agency retention objectives. Works with assigned employees to increase productivity, agent success and agent productivity. Responsible for contributing to the attainment of the financial goals of assigned area. Responsible for agent compliance with branding standards and level of professionalism. Develops and/or analyzes production and PIF information, as well as accompanying demographic information, necessary to adequately project market availability and proposed agent placement in markets within the Zone. Coordinates with Home Office Agencies on agent contract inquiries, disputes and inquiries submitted from the field offices. Responsible for full compliance with the organization's agency development guidelines. Promotes safety at all times and complies with safety/ergonomic standards as outlined in relevant company published manuals. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required. Completion of, or actively pursuing LUTCF, CLF, CLU or CPCU and completion of the Essentials of Management course Series 6, 63 & 26 licenses required.
Five plus years job related experience with extensive knowledge of insurance products and field distribution models. Approved to Supervise with Farmers Financial Solutions within 1 year of employment.
Special Skill Requirement
Must obtain Property, Casualty, and Life insurance licenses within 6 months.
Prior Sales experience strongly preferred.
Insurance industry experience.
Experience managing remote/virtual staff strongly preferred.
Experience working and managing a remote workforce.
