This role collaborates with functional leaders across multiple lines of business to develop, implement, and lead strategic initiatives and projects within the line of business to achieve line of business and/or Claims organization goals. They leverage all available sources, internal and external to support the business in understanding the competitive landscape and identifying new strategic opportunities for Farmers to provide innovative solutions to our customers. They will also supervise and develop direct reports within the Strategy and Process team.
This position is on our Claims Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Customer Experience team. Experience with Data & BI tools or Data Analytics is a plus!
Essential Job Functions
Owns the research, development and design of large complex projects and programs with cross-business unit and/or enterprise level impact to drive innovation, improve process efficacy, resource productivity, claim quality, claim accuracy and customer service.
Partners with variety of business partners to determine data analysis required to evaluate the value of a potential investment and how we will measure ongoing success.
Leverages all available data sources, internal and external, to support the development and application of business insights to tell a story around the results and benefits of an initiative.
May work directly with senior leadership/enterprise leadership in identifying initiatives, process improvement opportunities and solutions focused on our customers, people, process and technology.
Presents analysis to all levels of claims leadership as needed.
Analyzes the impact and effectiveness of new or revised processes and solutions through pilot programs, impact metrics, and observation methods; develops stakeholder analysis and influencing strategies to increase buy in and support.
Analyzes the impact of proposed new or revised processes prior to adoption, providing feedback that will enhance how S&P team partners and support the lines of business, Claims group and/or Enterprise.
Helps to shape how the Strategy & Process team will find new ways to engage with our customer base, both internal and external.
Works with Management to ensure that all incoming initiatives align with business goals.
Responsible to look across a set of projects and provide updates on the overall health of our initiatives.
May serve as the primary point of contact for new vendor outreach to review technology solutions for strategic initiatives/projects.
Strategy & Process Team Manager supervises and trains team members (direct or indirect reports).
Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (e.g. others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
This position operates in an open office working environment which will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
Internal Candidates: Minimum five years leadership experience, and/or demonstrated results in leading initiatives and driving change in your role. External Candidates: Minimum five years leadership or project/program/change management experience required.
