Drives agent production and sales within a given territory assignment with various sales training methods. Responsible for New Business, Premium and profit objectives for all lines of business (personal, specialty, life and commercial lines). Works directly with Agents or District Managers and is responsible for agent growth through the Agency Growth Model and bonus programs being run within each line of business. Partners with Director of Sales and Market Leaders to develop effective business plans to increase sales and retention efforts and improve agent product knowledge, sales skills and overall awareness of all products available across lines of business. Delivers recommendations on product enhancements as well as sales techniques and strategies. Serves as the primary contact point for Agents or District Managers to build and maximize the agency/company relationship.
Essential Job Functions
Promotes overall company value proposition and drives results for multiple lines of business (Personal, Life, Specialty and Business Insurance). Utilizes consultative skills to train agents and district managers on products, services and technology to achieve objectives. Utilizes technology (AGM, ACIR, Scorecards, Agency Marketing) and all processing systems (STAR, BIE, Lifenet and FP.com) to manage assigned agencies in geographic area. Responsible for the overall performance of driving agents Above the Line results. Routinely records information about agency contact, activity, products discussed for use within sales and business analytics team. Collaborates with other functional areas (Service, Underwriting and Product) within Personal Lines to drive overall agent performance.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. P and C and Life licenses required.
Minimum of five years sales, marketing or insurance experience including knowledge of Personal Lines, Specialty, Life and Commercial lines product knowledge. Knowledge of Farmers systems, tools and current sales management technology Proven written and oral communications. Strong sales ability; including building rapport, qualifying questions, time management, objection handling and closing.
Special Skill Requirement
Field experience is a must.
Ability to drive results through independent contractors is required.
Excel skills (pivot tables and v-lookups).
Strong presentation skills.
