Responsible for the oversight, strategic direction and performance in assigned territory. Has responsibility for ensuring territory financial objectives are achieved. Introduces and implements distribution strategies, tailored to local markets with tactics to improve the success and size of districts and agencies within the territory.
Essential Job Functions
Supervises assigned personnel. Development of succession plan and employees within their oversight. Responsible for ensuring that the business units' financial objectives in the state/region are met. Reviews and evaluates the results obtained in the state to implement action plans where deficiencies exist and identify best practices for implementation. Responsible for monitoring and improving financial and growth results in assigned territory by assisting with development and implementation of district business plans. Deploys regional resources to assist in correcting deficiencies. Responsible for established productivity growth objectives. Develops and / or analyzes production and PIF information, as well as a ccompanying demographic information, necessary to adequately project market availability and proposed penetration of that market. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred and completion of, or actively pursuing, LUTCF, CLU, or CPCU and completion of AMTC course. Series 6, 63, and 26 securities licenses required within first year of employment.
Five years of agent, industry, or business experience, including three years with distribution management or equivalent external business experience. Completion of Reserve training program and career conversion production goals required within 12 months in role.
Special Skill Requirement
Strong leadership skills required in order to build and sustain field management and agency relationships.
Knowledge of Farmers Distribution and District Manager model and/or small business models, business and industry knowledge.
Ability to adapt model as necessary and drive performance and results. Demonstrated ability to lead change management efforts maintaining performance and productivity during periods of intensive transition from one operating model to another.
