The Vendor Coordinator will plan, develop and recommend claims/vendor procedures, techniques, and methods; studies, analyzes, audits, and interprets vendor claims results and trends. Evaluates vendor claims performance by the review of management information reports, vendor business reviews, and key performance metrics and will make recommendations to improve service and results. The Vendor Coordinator will work with business to identify and provide vendor solutions that enable better claims processes, technological or service enhancements, and provide discipline to effectively monitor and control vendor performance. Assist Vendor Manager with negotiations of vendor services/products, creation of contract, and execution of contracts.
Essential Job Functions
Research appropriate vendors for business needs on all pilots and proofs of concepts. Work with the various claims lines of businesses to identify vendor solutions. Identify and recommend testing of vendor management related services and programs which have the potential to improve Service, Cost, LAE or Claims handling methods and provide assistance with field implementation of any approved vendor related services and programs Define, document, and communicate business requirements. Review trade publications and attend Industry conferences to stay abreast of new vendor solutions, technologies, and offerings to assure best in class solutions. Work with business to select vendor programs by creating, authoring, and managing/stewarding the Request for Proposal process. Manage and coordinate vendor presentations with business. Negotiating Non-Disclosures, pilot agreements, and statements of work and managing execution of relevant documents with legal, GIS, and compliance. Serve as a liaison and facilitator of vendor aspects in projects, pilots, and proof of concepts. Create vendor guidelines in projects, pilots, and proof of concepts. Work with various Farmers entities such as claims legal, contracts management group, GIS, privacy, and compliance to assure we have safeguards within the agreements that protects Farmers and our customers. Author, negotiate, and execute vendor contracts.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
External candidates should have a minimum of six years of vendor related experience or prior claims experience. The same time-on-job requirement is preferred for internal candidates.
Special Skill Requirement
Candidate will have strong written and verbal skills, reporting, and analytic skills. Candidate will have strong negotiation and presentations skills.
