Job Summary 
Performs actuarial analysis of rates and rating plans for assigned lines of insurance. 
Essential Job Functions 
Prepares and analyzes supporting statistical data and actuarial information used in connection with formal rate reviews for filing with regulatory authorities; prepares written correspondence relative to such analyses. Performs actuarial computations and analyses of data utilizing available EDP resources. Performs other actuarial projects as assigned. Performs other functions as assigned. 
Physical Actions 
Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs. maximum. Functional ability of seeing, hearing and speaking is required. 
Physical Environment 
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate controlled office environment, with occasional travel by car or airplane. 
Education Requirements 
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred with at least a minor in mathematics, and passed 1 - 2 Casualty Actuarial Society exams. Continue educational development in related job field. 
Experience Requirements 
None required 
Special Skill Requirement 
MS Excel: advanced proficiency (Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, AutoFilter, VBA, and formulas).

MS Access: proficient with loading data, writing queries, and manipulating data.

SQL: proficient with basic queries involving a few tables and limited criteria.

Report automation: proficient with scripting tools and languages (batch files and VBA for Excel).
