Job Summary 

Manages a team of Product Management Analysts. 

Essential Job Functions 
  • Manage and train a team of product analysts performing tasks listed below:
  • Conduct and review pricing analysis for assigned product lines and states.

  • Utilize SAS/SQL to extract, manipulate and analyze large sets of data in order to recommend improvements in our product pricing.

  • Analyze indications and other analyses of loss experience, retention, and expense data.
  • Prepare reports to assist territory product in managing their states
  • Perform primary field research, including customer, distribution, competitor, insurance department, and market/premium surveys.
  • Takes leadership role in special projects as assigned.
  • Negotiates and sets priorities to align with Enterprise Strategy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 
Physical Actions 

Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing, and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs maximum, and seeing. 

Physical Environment 

Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment. 

Education Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree in mathematical or statistical field required. Masters degree preferred.  

Experience Requirements 
  • Mathematical or Statistical experience.

  • 3-7 year’s experience in similar role, or Graduate degree and four year’s experience in similar role

  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn advanced insurance pricing concepts and insurance terms and structure. 

Special Skill Requirement 
  • Proficient PC Skills, including Excel, Access, Word. 

  • Basic programming for statistical purposes such as SAS and/or other programming languages such as Python and R.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including ability to make effective presentations and write articles publishable in trade magazines.

  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn advanced insurance pricing concepts and insurance terms and structure.
